Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of presentation methods on improving public speaking fluency among seventh-level students at Institute Muslim Cendekia. The study is grounded in the importance of speaking fluency as an essential linguistic and communicative competence that supports students’ ability to express ideas effectively in public settings. A quantitative approach was employed using numerical data to examine the relationship between presentation methods as the independent variable and public speaking fluency as the dependent variable. The data were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) through a simple linear regression test. The findings revealed a moderate positive correlation between the two variables, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.557. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.310, indicating that presentation methods contributed 31% to the improvement of students’ public speaking fluency, while the remaining percentage was influenced by other factors beyond the research model. The findings also revealed that the regression coefficient for the independent variable was 0.629 with a positive direction. This indicates that every one-unit increase in the use of the presentation method leads to a 0.629-unit increase in students’ speaking fluency. These results demonstrate that the effect of this method is not random; rather, it has a direct and significant role in improving speaking fluency in public speaking contexts.
