Abstract

This study aims to analyze the patterns (wazn) and meanings of augmented verbs (fi‘il mazīd) in the 30th part (juz’) of the Qur’an, by identifying those verbs, their morphological patterns, and their meanings. The researcher also describes how these verbs can be utilized to develop Arabic reading skills among intermediate-level non-native speakers. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher employed a qualitative descriptive method by analyzing the patterns and meanings of augmented verbs, then exploring how these verbs can be effectively used to enhance Arabic reading skills for intermediate-level learners who are non-native speakers. The study found that the researcher utilized 80 verbs along with their meanings from the 30th part of the Qur’an to support the development of Arabic reading skills among intermediate-level non-native learners. This utilization was carried out through dialogues, texts, pattern-based exercises, and meaning-focused activities that are suitable for intermediate students.
