Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of vocabulary mastery in the book Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk on the speaking skills of female students at Institut Muslim Cendekia. The research used a quantitative method with a correlational design. The population consisted of all 100 first-level female students in the academic year 2025-2026, and the entire population was taken as the sample (saturated sampling). Data were collected using questionnaires and observations. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression and Pearson correlation coefficient with the help of Microsoft Excel and SPSS 24.0. The results showed a statistically significant effect of vocabulary mastery on speaking skills, with an F-value of 90.861 and a significance level of 0.000. The regression equation obtained was Y = 6.75 + 0.66X, meaning that every one-point increase in vocabulary mastery leads to a 0.66-point increase in speaking skills. The correlation coefficient (R) was 0.694, indicating a strong positive relationship, while the coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.481, meaning that vocabulary mastery contributes 48.1% to speaking skills. This confirms that vocabulary mastery has a significant impact on speaking skills, and the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors such as pronunciation, grammar, and listening skills.
