Abstract

Learning Arabic through traditional methods and e-learning each offers unique advantages and challenges. Traditional methods facilitate direct interaction between students and teachers, which is essential for understanding complex Arabic grammar. However, these methods are limited by factors such as time constraints and classroom space. In contrast, e-learning provides flexibility in terms of time and allows for independent learning, although the lack of direct interaction may hinder comprehension of difficult concepts. This research aims to compare these two learning methods and explore the potential benefits of a blended learning approach, which combines the strengths of both. Employing a literature review methodology, this study examines relevant articles to evaluate the advantages, disadvantages, and applicability of traditional and e-learning methods in Arabic language instruction. The findings indicate that blended learning is more effective as it integrates the benefits of both approaches, thereby enhancing student engagement and academic performance. However, challenges such as access to technology and the need for teacher training persist. The study concludes that a blended learning approach can offer a more holistic and flexible learning experience, provided that it is supported by adequate technological infrastructure and proper teacher training.
