Abstract
Common vocabulary plays a significant role in teaching Arabic, especially for non-native speakers. Frequently used words in daily life help learners grasp language development and interact more effectively in their environment. This study aims to identify the common modern-era vocabulary in the al-Munawwir Dictionary for the letter "د", based on the Qā’imat al-Mufradāt asy-Syāi‘ah fī al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyyah. To achieve this goal, the study employed a descriptive-analytical method, by extracting vocabulary entries for the letter "د" from the dictionary and comparing them with the Qā’imat al-Mufradāt asy-Syāi‘ah fī al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyyah. The results revealed that there are 382 entries for the letter "د" in the al-Munawwir Dictionary, while the the Qā’imat al-Mufradāt asy-Syāi‘ah fī al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyyah list contains 112 entries for the same letter. The comparison showed that 106 of the common words appear in the dictionary, while 6 do not. These findings indicate that not all vocabulary in the al-Munawwir Dictionary can be classified as commonly used, based on the standard list of the Qā’imat al-Mufradāt asy-Syāi‘ah fī al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyyah.
