Abstract
This study aims to describe the theoretical application of da'wah in the story of Ibrahim as. in the Quran. Researchers conducted this research because many preachers were confused in determining the right approach to da'wah, both in choosing methods, collecting material, and building relationships with worshipers. The methods used in this research are inductive and deductive methods, and the tools used are written documents, namely data collection through books related to the title of this research; including the Koran, previous research, articles, and scientific journals. This research proves that the story of Ibrahim in the Quran is mentioned in several suras and verses, and some of them, as researchers found that the story is contained in surah Al-An'am verses (74-79), surah Maryam verses (41-48), surah Al-Anbiya verses (51-71), and surah As-Saffat verses (99-113). The theoretical da'wah in the story of Ibrahim 'alaihissalam shows that the application of his da'wah mentioned in the Qur'an should be a theory for preachers and make it a principle. And a preacher must follow the example of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) in his da'wah, namely being an example in all good deeds, patience, courage, and sincerity. Dai must also know that there are several types of people who are invited who are misguided, polytheists, ignorant, fanatical, and stubborn. Therefore, a da'i needs to use a methodology and style that suits the situation.
