Abstract
There are problems that occur in class X students of MA Ahmad Dahlan who have difficulty and are stiff in speaking Arabic. The scope of this study focuses on the strategies used by educators in developing speaking skills in class X students of MA Ahmad Dahlan. The objectives of this study are divided into 2, namely describing Arabic speaking skills and describing strategies used by educators to develop Arabic speaking skills in class X students of MA Ahmad Dahlan. The method used is qualitative. Data sources in this study use teacher interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that educators use 4 stages in improving speaking skills, namely through vocabulary introduction, interactive teaching, analyzing texts and direct conversations in the classroom. The implication of this study is to provide a real picture that Arabic speaking learning strategies are not enough only with nahwu-sharaf theory, but must be integrated with direct practice through vocabulary, interaction, text analysis, and conversation.
