Abstract
KH Ahmad Dahlan Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic boarding schools that implements the Arabic language teaching process. For this process to be successful, this Islamic boarding school requires factors that are appropriate to the circumstances and needs of its students. This Islamic boarding school still does not have a specific Arabic language teaching curriculum that can help it achieve its educational goals, because several factors do not match the needs of students and the situation of the Islamic boarding school. Therefore, this study aims to facilitate and assist KH Ahmad Dahlan Islamic Boarding School in achieving its educational goals by designing an Arabic language teaching curriculum. This study uses a library-based approach with a descriptive analytical method, namely an analytical method that focuses on collecting sufficient and accurate information about a particular phenomenon, topic, or time period. After conducting observations and interviews with several teachers at this institution, the researcher decided to develop a curriculum that he considered appropriate for the institution. The first step is that this Islamic boarding school needs to focus on teaching vocabulary related to everyday life, followed by mastery of nahwu and shorf lessons, and creating a conducive environment, because the environment is a key factor in the success of Arabic language teaching. The institution also needs to establish language activities that support Arabic language learning, as these are still lacking. One factor contributing to the weak Arabic language skills at this institution is the large number of non-Arabic subjects, namely subjects not taught in Arabic
