Abstract
This study aims to examine the role of the YouTube channel My Arabic Class in improving listening skills among Arabic language learners. The study employed a descriptive analytical method through content analysis of the educational channel and an examination of the audio-visual features that contribute to the development of listening skills. Data were collected through direct observation of the instructional videos available on the channel, in addition to reviewing previous studies and references related to Arabic language teaching and digital learning media. The findings revealed that the My Arabic Class channel plays an effective role in enhancing learners’ listening skills through various instructional techniques, such as clear pronunciation, repetition of words and expressions, the use of translated texts, and the presentation of content in the form of stories and realistic conversations. The results also showed that the channel contributes to the development of several fundamental listening skills, including inferential listening, critical listening, memory listening, and predictive listening. The study further found that the use of YouTube as an educational medium increases learning motivation and provides a flexible learning environment that enables learners to practice listening skills continuously both inside and outside the classroom. However, the channel still has some limitations, such as dependence on English translations and the absence of evaluative exercises to measure learners’ comprehension after listening.
