Abstract
This study is motivated by the low level of comprehension of fiqh texts among fifth-level students at Ar-Raayah University, particularly in the chapter of sales (Bab al-Buyū'), due to difficulties in understanding terminological vocabulary and distinguishing between lexical and terminological meanings. This issue directly affects students' reading skills. The research aims to identify the terminological vocabulary found in Bab al-Buyū', analyze their lexical and terminological meanings, and examine their role in improving reading skills, especially in comprehending fiqh texts accurately and deeply. Employing a descriptive-analytical method, the researcher collected 32 terminological vocabularies from Tawdih al-Ahkam min Bulugh al-Maram by Sheikh Abdullah al-Bassam, then analyzed them semantically by referring to linguistic dictionaries and relevant fiqh sources, highlighting the differences between lexical and terminological meanings. Furthermore, these vocabularies were organized into structured learning units supported by reading texts and practical exercises to enhance students' reading skills. The results show that the use of terminological vocabulary within structured learning units significantly contributes to the improvement of reading skills. Students became more capable of understanding fiqh texts in the chapter of sales more accurately and deeply, as well as analyzing meanings within proper contexts. This approach also reduces comprehension difficulties and enhances analytical reading ability, indicating that terminological vocabulary can serve as an effective approach in developing advanced-level reading skills.
