Abstract
Fiqh is one of the Islamic sciences rich in technical terms with specific meanings that cannot be separated from the context of Islamic law. First-level students at Universitas Ar-Raayah experience significant difficulties in understanding fiqh texts due to their limited mastery of terminological vocabulary. This condition directly and negatively affects their reading skills, particularly in grasping the implicit meanings of each fiqh term that appears. This study aims to identify the terminological vocabulary found in the chapter of prayer (Bāb al-Ṣalāh) from the book Al-Fiqh Al-Manhaji, analyze it linguistically and terminologically, and explain its utilization in developing students' reading skills. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method using documentary analysis. The results show that 70 terminological vocabularies were identified, of which 43 were analyzed in detail based on their linguistic meanings and terminological meanings. These findings can be utilized through the development of structured reading texts and exercises specifically designed to enhance students' comprehension of fiqh texts while enriching their religious terminology vocabulary. Thus, this study provides a tangible practical contribution to the development of Arabic teaching materials for non-native speakers at Islamic higher education institutions.
