Abstract
The linguistic richness and educational value in the hadith of the Prophet has great potential as educational material, one of which is through the use of parables. This study aims to inventory and analyze the proverbs (parables) of the Prophet contained in the book Al-Amtsal as-Saʾirah 'an Rasulillah ﷺ part of the book Al-Amtsal fi al-Ḥadits an-Nabawi by Abu 'Arubah al-Ḥusain bin Muḥammad bin Maudud al-Ḥarrani, as well as to examine the prospects for its use in learning Arabic for non-native speaker learners. This study applies a descriptive-analytical qualitative method based on literature studies. Data collection is carried out by identifying the proverbs of the prophet from the main book, which are then classified and analyzed using relevant supporting literature. The results of the study revealed that the book is a source of proverbs that effectively combines language aesthetics and pedagogical values. In particular, this study succeeded in collecting twenty applicable prophetic proverbs to be integrated into the learning process. In conclusion, the proverbs of the prophet can be used practically as teaching materials through speaking practice activities, class conversations, storytelling, and structured language exercises. The integration of this proverb is effective in enriching vocabulary mastery, deepening understanding of the Arabic cultural context, and encouraging students to practice Arabic appropriately and correctly.
