Abstract
The frequent errors in writing the letter hamzah among female students indicate a weakness in mastering dictation rules, which calls for the development of teaching methods. The Magic Disc is considered an effective educational tool for improving dictation skills in an interactive and engaging manner. This research aimed to determine the extent of the impact of using the Magic Disc in teaching dictation rules to female students in the language preparation department at STIBA Ar-Rayah. Mastery of these rules must be firmly memorized by the students so they can apply them correctly in Arabic writing. This study is a descriptive quantitative research categorized as field research. The researcher used several tools to obtain the required data, including a questionnaire, observation, and interview. For data analysis, the researcher used the Ms. Excel program with the Data Analysis feature, applying a simple linear regression analysis. Based on the questionnaire results and the simple linear regression analysis, there is a moderate correlation between the use of the Magic Disc and teaching dictation rules, with a correlation coefficient (Multiple R) of 0.555. The value of the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) indicates that the use of the Magic Disc contributes 13% to teaching dictation rules. The derived regression equation is Ỳ = 9.96 + 0.555x. In conclusion, the Magic Disc has a positive effect on improving the teaching of dictation rules among female students in the language preparation department at STIBA Ar-Rayah.
