Juristic Terminological Vocabulary in the Chapter of Transactions from Al-Fiqh al-Manhaji: An Analytical Study المفردات الاصطلاحية الفقهية في باب المعاملات من كتاب الفقه المنهجي: دراسة تحليلية

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the Islamic jurisprudential terminological vocabulary found in the chapter of transactions (mu‘āmalāt) in the book Al-Fiqh al-Manhaji and to reveal its terminological meanings and linguistic characteristics within the juristic context. The significance of this study lies in the large number of juristic terms whose technical meanings differ from their general lexical meanings, making them difficult to understand without analytical study, especially for non-native learners of Arabic. The researcher employed a qualitative descriptive-analytical method within the framework of library research by extracting the terminological vocabulary from the chapter of transactions and analyzing its lexical and technical meanings through linguistic dictionaries, juristic references, and previous studies. The findings show that Al-Fiqh al-Manhaji contains thirty-eight juristic terminological vocabularies, including rahn (mortgage), ḍamān (guarantee), qirāḍ (profit-sharing partnership), musāqāh (crop-sharing agreement), wakālah (agency), and kafālah (suretyship). The study also reveals clear semantic differences between lexical and technical meanings in several terms, indicating that juristic language possesses a distinct terminological system closely related to the Sharī‘ah context. The study concludes that Al-Fiqh al-Manhaji is a suitable source for studying and analyzing juristic terminological vocabulary in Arabic language and Islamic studies.
