Abstract
The Holy Qur’an is the primary source of the Arabic language because of its eloquence, beauty of style, and precision in word choice. One of the prominent rhetorical features of the Qur’an is the common Qur’anic expressions found in Surah Yusuf, which contain figurative and expressive meanings reflecting wisdom and profound human experiences. This study aims to identify these common Qur’anic expressions and examine their role in developing speaking skills for non-native Arabic speakers in light of Suwaifi Fathi’s book Al-Ta‘birat al-Sha’i‘ah. The researcher employed a descriptive-analytical method based on library research to collect and analyze the data. The findings reveal that these expressions are characterized by brevity, depth of meaning, rhetorical influence, and communicative effectiveness, making them suitable for improving oral fluency, enriching vocabulary, and developing communicative competence among learners. The study concludes that the use of Qur’anic expressions in Arabic language teaching is an effective means of supporting speaking skills, fostering authentic communicative ability, and providing meaningful linguistic materials for non-native Arabic learners.
