Abstract
Vocabulary is an essential foundation in learning Arabic, as it contributes to developing learners’ abilities in comprehension, communication, and expression. In addition, the use of modern digital learning media has become necessary in developing the learning process to make it more engaging and interactive. One of these media is the Canva application, which helps present learning materials in a more organized and attractive visual and audio format. Therefore, this study aimed to describe and analyze the process of teaching Arabic vocabulary using the Canva application among first-grade female students at the intermediate level in Ma’had Bait Al-Qur’an Abna’ Al-Ummah. The study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical method through direct observation and document analysis, involving a sample of 21 female students. The findings showed that the use of Canva contributed to presenting Arabic vocabulary in a more organized and attractive way through illustrated presentations and educational videos. Furthermore, presenting vocabulary in visual and audio contexts helped improve students’ understanding of vocabulary, develop their ability to connect images with meanings, and increase their interaction during learning activities and group review sessions. Based on these findings, Canva can be used as a supportive digital learning medium that contributes to improving Arabic vocabulary instruction and enhancing interaction within the classroom environment.
