Abstract
This study is motivated by the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, which has increasingly been utilized in education, especially in supporting academic writing skills. Female students of the Arabic Language Education Department still face various difficulties in scientific writing, such as organizing ideas, applying academic style, and minimizing language errors. This study aims to examine the role of ChatGPT in improving scientific writing skills among students of the Arabic Language Education Department at Institut Muslim Cendekia. The research employed a descriptive mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative data. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. The findings revealed that ChatGPT assists students in formulating research titles, organizing ideas, applying academic writing styles, reducing grammatical and linguistic errors, and expressing research ideas more clearly. However, several challenges were also identified, including excessive dependence on artificial intelligence and reduced critical awareness in verifying information sources. This study concludes that ChatGPT can be utilized as a supportive educational tool in academic writing when used in a balanced and responsible manner
