Abstract
This study was conducted based on the importance of vocabulary enrichment for learners of Arabic, particularly political vocabulary that is widely used in contemporary mass media. The study aims to identify the political vocabulary found on the Asharq News website, explain its meanings, and analyze its potential use in enriching the vocabulary of Arabic language learners. This study employed a descriptive-analytical method. The data were collected from political news articles published during the period of 1–4 September 2025 as the research sample. The collected vocabulary was then classified, analyzed, and interpreted by referring to dictionaries and references related to the political context. The findings showed that 43 contemporary political terms were identified, including terms such as coalition, protests, diplomacy, legislative body, transparency, political elites, and others. These terms are commonly used in contemporary political discourse and can be utilized to enrich the vocabulary of Arabic language learners through the stages of vocabulary teaching, namely presentation, practice, and evaluation. The study concludes that the use of vocabulary derived from political news can contribute to enriching the vocabulary mastery of Arabic language learners.
