Abstract

Speaking skills are one of the essential language abilities required by learners of Arabic as a foreign language, as it reflects their ability to interact and communicate effectively. This study was chosen based on the researcher’s observation that many second-level female students at STIBA Ar Raayah still face difficulties in spoken expression despite attending regular classes. The study aimed to determine the impact of extracurricular language activities conducted by the Language Revival Section on developing students’ speaking skills. The researcher applied a quantitative descriptive method using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, with a sample of 47 students. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression with Microsoft Excel 2016. The results indicated a significant and positive effect of the extracurricular activities on speaking skill improvement, with a regression coefficient of 0.981 and an R² value of 0.502, indicating that 50% of the variance in speaking skills could be attributed to these activities. The study concludes that such programs are effective tools in enhancing students' speaking proficiency and recommends institutional support for their continuity
