Abstract
Authentic and meaningful Arabic language learning requires instructional media that encompass not only linguistic values but also moral and life values. This study aims to examine the mahfūẓāt (memorized texts) contained in the book “Allamatnī al-Ḥayāh” and to analyze their utilization in developing Arabic speaking skills among intermediate-level students.This research employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical method through content analysis techniques. The primary data are derived from the book “Allamatnī al-Ḥayāh”, supported by relevant literature including reference books, scholarly articles, and previous studies. Data analysis follows the model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings indicate that the book contains approximately thirty mahfūẓāt incorporating educational, social, and moral values. These texts can be applied in various learning activities such as dialogue, storytelling, discussion, and speaking exercises. The use of mahfūẓāt contributes to vocabulary expansion, improves speaking fluency, and enhances students’ self-confidence. Therefore, the mahfūẓāt in the book “Allamatnī al-Ḥayāh” have significant potential as an effective alternative learning resource for improving Arabic speaking skills at the intermediate level.
