Abstract
This study is motivated by the importance of understanding jurisprudential terms in helping Arabic language learners comprehend Islamic texts, while the utilization of fiqh terminology as a means of vocabulary enrichment remains relatively limited. The study aims to analyze the linguistic meanings of jurisprudential terms found in Al-Muʿtamad fī al-Fiqh al-Shāfiʿī, Volume Four, and to explain their contribution to enriching students’ Arabic vocabulary. This research employed a qualitative approach using library research and a descriptive-analytical method. The data were obtained from Al-Muʿtamad fī al-Fiqh al-Shāfiʿī, Arabic dictionaries, and various relevant scholarly references, and were analyzed through the stages of data collection, classification, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that there are 35 jurisprudential terms analyzed from their linguistic aspects, including al-nikāḥ, al-ṭalāq, al-khulʿ, al-qadhf, and al-ḥajb. The study concludes that understanding the linguistic meanings of jurisprudential terms can help improve Arabic vocabulary mastery, deepen comprehension of fiqh texts, and support the development of instructional materials based on fiqh terminology for Arabic language learners.
