Abstract

This study is motivated by the rapid development of digital media, particularly YouTube, which plays a role in shaping individuals’ perspectives and behavior, making it important to examine its influence as a medium of da‘wah. This study aims to determine the effect of Al Jazeera’s YouTube channel as a da‘wah medium in shaping Islamic morals among female students of Ar-Raayah University, especially in relation to the Gaza issue. The research employs a survey method with a quantitative approach. The sample consists of 85 female students from the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth levels. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression, and Pearson correlation, supported by in-depth interviews. The results show that the influence of Al Jazeera’s YouTube channel on the formation of Islamic morals is very low, at 4.12%. Furthermore, there is a weak and statistically insignificant negative relationship between the variables. Therefore, it can be concluded that the role of the channel as a da‘wah medium in shaping Islamic morals remains limited, indicating the need for more effective and impactful content development.
