Abstract
The Arabic language is distinguished by its rich vocabulary, many terms of which cannot be adequately understood solely from their lexical meanings, particularly terminological vocabulary (al-mufradāt al-ishṭilāḥiyyah) in the domain of Islamic jurisprudence. This study aims to analyze the terminological vocabulary found in the chapter of Jināyah (criminal law) in Al-Fiqh al-Manhaji by al-Khin, al-Bugha, and al-Sharbaji, to identify their semantic and contextual characteristics, and to examine their potential in developing speaking skills (mahārat al-kalām) among non-native Arabic learners. The study employs a descriptive-analytical method, collecting terminological vocabulary from the chapter of Jināyah with the assistance of the Dictionary of Juristic Terms and Vocabulary (Mu'jam al-Mushtalahat wa al-Alfazh al-Fiqhiyyah), then classifying and analyzing them from semantic, usage, and juristic contextual perspectives. The study identified 35 terminological terms in the chapter of Jināyah. Results indicate that these terms possess distinct semantic specificity that differentiates them from their general lexical meanings. The study proposes that these terms can be effectively employed through dialogue activities, structured exercises, and text-based tasks to enhance learners' speaking fluency and terminological accuracy in Arabic.
