Abstract
Orthographic Error Analysis in Arabic Composition: A Case Study of Junior High School Students at At-Tarbiyah Boarding School in Sukabumi. This study primarily aims to identify and analyze common spelling errors in the writing workbooks of eighth-grade students at At-Tarbiyah Boarding School, Sukabumi, specifically within the Arabic composition (Tahriri) course. It investigates the underlying internal and external causes of these errors and proposes procedural solutions to enhance writing performance. The research employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical method. Data collection was conducted through content analysis of students' workbooks and field observations. The results indicate that the most prevalent errors are grapheme formation (42.9%) and the omission of diacritical dots (33.3%). These errors are attributed to internal factors such as cognitive shyness and external factors like limited practice time. The study concludes that the implementation of proposed procedural solutions, notably the use of visual aids for collective correction and an integrated approach between reading and writing, is essential in addressing these orthographic challenges.
