Abstract
Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, and interest in learning it continues to increase. Nevertheless, learners still face difficulties in mastering it. Therefore, the language environment plays an important role in supporting continuous practice and facilitating better language acquisition. This study aims to describe the language environment at Muslim Cendekia Institute and to reveal the influence of the language environment on Arabic language acquisition among female students at the Muslim Cendekia Institute in the academic year 2025/2026. This study employed a field-based quantitative method using a descriptive-analytical approach. The data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles & Huberman model with the assistance of SPSS 24.0 and Microsoft Excel (Data Analysis Feature) through simple linear regression analysis. The research sample consisted of 219 female students selected through proportional stratified random sampling. The results showed that the language environment at Muslim Cendekia Institute is an artificial language environment in terms of establishment, yet tends to be natural in its implementation. It aims to develop students’ language skills through the use of Arabic as the medium of instruction, the extensive use of Arabic outside the classroom, the organization of language activities, and the presence of teachers as linguistic role models. The study also proved that the language environment has an influence on Arabic language acquisition among female students, with a correlation coefficient value of (r = 0.699) and an (R²) value of 0.488. This indicates that the language environment contributes 48.8% to Arabic language acquisition, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors. These findings confirm that the language environment helps accelerate Arabic language acquisition.
