Abstract
Arabic is one of the languages of growing importance worldwide; however, learners still face challenges in mastering and accurately using linguistic expressions, which necessitates the use of appropriate instructional media to support the learning process. Based on this, the present study aims to examine the role of the animated film “Stories of Islam in the acquisition of linguistic expressions among second-level female students in the Language Preparation Program at Ar-Raayah University in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study employs a quantitative field approach using a descriptive-analytical method, with data collected through a questionnaire distributed to 100 students and subsequently analyzed using a Likert scale, as well as SPSS 24.0 and Microsoft Excel through simple linear regression analysis. The results indicate a positive correlation between watching the film and the acquisition of linguistic expressions, with a correlation coefficient (r = 0.667) and a coefficient of determination (R² = 0.445), suggesting that the film contributes 44.5% to the acquisition of linguistic expressions among the students, while the remaining variance is influenced by other factors; therefore, the use of animated films can be considered an effective instructional medium in supporting the learning of Arabic.
