Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Qur’anic vocabulary found in Surah Al-Kahf from verses 1–30 and to explore effective methods for utilizing it to enrich the Arabic language proficiency of seventh-level students at Universitas Muslim Cendekia. The importance of this research lies in the role of Qur’anic vocabulary instruction in developing learners’ linguistic competence, improving their understanding of Qur’anic texts, and encouraging accurate language use in daily communication. The researcher employed a descriptive-analytical method by collecting selected Qur’anic vocabulary from the verses, analyzing their meanings through Qur’anic interpretations and Arabic dictionaries, and classifying them according to their linguistic and educational values. The study identified forty Qur’anic terms with significant educational implications, including qayyim (upright), āwā (to seek refuge), and azkā (purer or better). The findings indicate that integrating Qur’anic vocabulary into reading materials and language exercises contributes to the development of the four Arabic language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of connecting Qur’anic vocabulary with modern teaching approaches, especially in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, through practical instructional models applicable in Islamic educational institutions.
