Abstract
This study examines the role of the Arabic linguistic environment in developing speaking skills among
high school students at Raudhatul Quran Institute Bogor. The research was conducted based on the
importance of creating an effective Arabic-speaking environment that supports students in practicing
the language naturally and continuously. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Arabic
linguistic environment and analyze its role in improving students’ speaking abilities. The research
employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and
documentation involving teachers and students at the institute. The collected data were analyzed using
data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the Arabic
environment at Raudhatul Quran Institute significantly contributes to the development of speaking
skills through daily communication, language programs, speech activities, language competitions, and
interactive educational practices. Continuous interaction between teachers and students also
strengthened students’ confidence and motivation to speak Arabic. However, some obstacles were
identified, such as students’ reliance on their mother tongue outside the institute and limited language
practice in informal settings. The study concludes that a well-strukctured Arabic environment plays a
vital role in enhancing Arabic speaking proficiency among students.
