Abstract
Contemporary terminology across various fields. Among these, Al-Jazirah Net stands as the most prominent Arabic-language news website globally. This study aims to identify and analyze tourism terminology (al-muṣṭalaḥāt as-siyāḥiyyah) found on Al-Jazirah Net during the period from September 21 to 30, 2025. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the researcher tracked and collected tourism-related terms published on the website within the specified dates, then analyzed their linguistic and terminological meanings by referring to classical and contemporary Arabic lexicons as well as specialized tourism glossaries. The findings reveal that Al-Jazirah Net contains a considerable number of tourism terms, totaling 37 terms across the ten-day period. These terms span various subcategories of tourism vocabulary including accommodation, transportation, tourism types, tourism facilities, and tourist attraction. The study demonstrates that online news platforms serve as rich and dynamic sources of authentic Arabic tourism vocabulary, and argues that systematic collection and analysis of such terminology from digital media constitutes a productive approach to expanding Arabic lexical resources in the field of tourism.
