Abstract
This study aims to analyze verbal rhetorical embellishments as presented in the book "Sharh 'Uqud al-Juman fi 'Ilm al-Ma'ani wal-Bayan" by Imam Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, focusing on the analysis of their types, examples, and their application in developing speaking skills among advanced learners of Arabic. Based on field observations, it was found that students still struggle to employ rhetorical styles in oral expression, despite their importance in enhancing language quality and the aesthetics of speech. This study relied on a descriptive-analytical approach, using al-Suyuti's book as the primary source, along with references in the fields of rhetoric and linguistics. The research addressed one types of verbal embellishments: jinas. The results showed that these two types are characterized by their auditory beauty and rhetorical strength, enriching oral expression. Moreover, the study presented model of practical exercises designed to help students recognize and effectively practice these embellishments, contributing to improvements in fluency, the beauty of expression, and performance strength in speaking Arabic.
