Abstract
This study aims to identify the Islamic da’wah values contained in the book Overthinking Is My Hobby and I Hate It. The book discusses the phenomenon of overthinking, which is commonly experienced by teenagers and adults, and offers solutions that align with Islamic teachings. This research is motivated by the urgent need for a form of da’wah that responds to contemporary challenges, particularly the crisis of life’s meaning and the increasing psychological problems in the digital era. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach by reviewing books, articles, and other relevant sources. The objective is to extract the da’wah values presented in the book and analyze their relevance to the lives of today’s youth. The findings reveal that the book presents three main categories of da’wah values: (1) Theological values, including faith in Allah, belief that Allah is the provider of sustenance, reliance on Allah (tawakkul), belief in destiny (qadar), fear of Allah, and drawing closer to Him; (2) Sharia values, such as making supplications (du’a), improving worship, seeking knowledge, and reading the Qur’an; (3) Moral values, including filial piety, honesty, kindness to animals, patience, and having a positive outlook. These values indicate that the book serves as an effective medium of da’wah, touching on the spiritual, social, and emotional aspects of its readers.
