Abstract

This research investigates the impact of using PowerPoint on enhancing students motivation in learning arabic among second-grade student at the Ahmad Dahlan Islamic Boarding School in Kuantan Singingi. The study was conducted using a quantitative and action research approach, involving 37  student. Date were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The result revealed that the use of PowerPoint significantly increased students’ motivation, interest, and participation in learning Arabic. Most student responded positively to items indicating that animated visual presentations helped them concentrate, understand vocabulary better, and retain information longer. In addition, the result of interviews with a teacher showed that PowerPoint s able to create a more interactive and fun calssroom atmosphere. Thus, this media not only acts as a visual aid, but also as a trigger for students’ active involvement. The findings also confirmed that integrating multimedia learning tools like PowerPoint creates an engaging classroom environment that supports student-centered learning. Based on the findings, this research recommends the use of PowerPoint as a supportive medium to improve motivation in arabic learning, particularly in non-native settings.
