Abstract

STIBA Ar Raayah  is one of the educational institutions that is concerned about teaching the Arabic language to non-native speakers, and among the important subjects taught there is the subject of sharaf. One of the books adopted in this subjects is “Shatha Al-Arf in the Art of  sharaf”, as this book is used as a basic educational tool in communicating sharaf concepts to female students. This research aimed to find out how the book “Shatha Al-Arf” is used in teaching sharaf, and the extent of its impact on improving students' understanding of sharaf and its applications for fifth-semesters female students at STIBA Ar Raayah . This research is a descriptive quantitative research, categorized as field research, with data collection tools: interview, questionnaire, and observation. The data for this research was analyzed using Ms. Excel Fitur Analysis Data. The sample was taken using the saturated sampling method. Based on the results of the data analysis, there was a strong positive relationship between book use and learning sharaf, with a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.789, indicating a strong correlation between them. Simple linear regression analysis showed that the equation was y = 9.66 + 0.53X, indicating that the use of the book “Shaza Al-Arf” in teaching sharaf has a significant effect by 64.8%, while the remaining 35.2% of the effects are due to other factors that were not mentioned in this research. These results indicate the importance of including this book within the educational curricula due to its ability to enhance the understanding and achievement of female students in the field of sharaf
