Abstract

 


It is noted that many students still face difficulties in understanding texts or significant challenges in absorbing and using vocabulary effectively due to limited vocabulary or difficult words. Hence, the importance of this research, as it can help students employ this vocabulary in their daily lives and contribute to consolidating the examples mentioned in the book in their minds. Furthermore, using this vocabulary enhances students' ability to speak Arabic. This research aims to collect the vocabulary contained in the book " Shadhā al-‘Urf fī Fann al-Ṣarf " (from passive and static verbs to passive verbs as an example), then understand their meanings, and use them in teaching speaking skills to fifth-level students at Al-Rayah University. The researcher undertook this work because vocabulary is one of the most important elements of the language, which Arabic language learners must learn and acquire to achieve the required linguistic proficiency (achieving the desired linguistic proficiency). Therefore, great attention must be paid to teaching vocabulary to non-native speakers, as vocabulary is key to understanding language and using it in expression and communication. In this study, the researcher used the descriptive-analytical approach, whereby information collected from various sources is analyzed and described, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative analysis to achieve a thorough study of the target texts. This study concluded that vocabulary has many meanings and is of great importance in teaching the Arabic language. The number of vocabulary items reached 80, with an explanation of their meanings, analysis, and the use of this vocabulary in teaching speaking skills. Among the models that were used were the model for placing vocabulary in a dialogue with its exercises, the model for using vocabulary in a text with its exercises, the model for using vocabulary to fill in the gaps, and the model for using vocabulary in constructing a sentence.
