Abstract

This topic was chosen due to the fact that oral expression is taught only to female students of the Language Preparation Department at STIBA Ar-Raayah, and the urgent need to know the strategies used in teaching this subject. The study aims to uncover the educational strategies used in the oral expression course for female students of the Language Preparation Department at STIBA Ar-Rayaah. The research is a case study and relies on the qualitative methodology, where data was collected and analysed using interview, observation, documentation, and questionnaire. The sample consisted of 40 female students from the Department of Language Preparation at STIBA Ar-Rayaah. The study concluded that the educational strategies used are divided into two parts: Strategies for improving speech skills: (paired activity, discussion, different topics). The results showed a positive effect on pronunciation, vocabulary use, and grammar application, while the effect was moderate in building confidence and fluency. Teaching this subject needs to enhance aspects such as confidence and fluency by providing a supportive linguistic environment and implementing effective activities in line with students' needs to improve their Arabic speaking skills.
