Abstract

Learning a language is a complex process influenced by many factors, including the language A good language environment plays a crucial role in the success of learning a foreign language, particularly Arabic. Speaking skills, in particular, are highly influenced by the surrounding environment. This study aims to identify factors that affect the improvement of students' speaking skills at Bina Madani Putri Islamic Boarding School in Bogor. The research is classified as quantitative descriptive and field-based. Data was collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Analysis was conducted using the Data Analysis Tool in Microsoft Excel. The sampling method used was Simple Random Sampling, selecting 60 participants randomly from a defined population. Findings revealed that the linguistic environment at Bina Madani Putri was purposefully designed to support Arabic language acquisition. The school implemented consistent and continuous activities that significantly enhanced students’ speaking abilities. Regression analysis showed an F value of 25.214, which exceeded the critical F value of 4.006 at a 0.05 significance level. This indicates that the regression model was effective in predicting speaking skills. The study also found that the linguistic environment contributed 30.3% to the variance in students’ speaking abilities, as shown by the R² value. The remaining 69.7% was influenced by other external factors not covered in this study.
