Abstract
This study aims to describe and analyze the Arabic language curriculum at Baitul Qur’an Abnaul Ummah Islamic Boarding School in Sukabumi in terms of objectives, content, methods, media, and evaluation. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the objective of the Arabic curriculum at Baitul Qur’an Abnaul Ummah is to enable students to acquire basic language skills. Regarding content, students study the book al-‘Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk along with a variety of linguistic materials, language activities, and Islamic studies. The teaching method applied is an eclectic approach that combines several methods, including direct, grammar-translation, audio-oral, vocabulary memorization, contextual, and communicative methods. A variety of teaching media are used, such as whiteboards, interactive books, recordings, videos, apps, computers, the internet, and educational films. Student evaluation is based on a 100-point system distributed as follows: 10 points for assignments, 10 for participation, 10 for attendance, 30 for monthly tests, and 40 for the final exam, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of all educational aspects.
