Abstract

The researcher chose the topic Design of a Conversation Book for the Beginner Level in Teaching Arabic Language at Bait Al-Najah Institution Lampung due to the importance of conversation in Arabic language learning, where difficulties were observed in teaching speaking skills due to the lack of an appropriate book. This study aimed to describe how the conversation book for the beginner level is designed in teaching the Arabic language at Bayt An-Najah Foundation, Lampung, and to evaluate its feasibility. The researcher applied the descriptive-analytical method and developmental research (R&D) based on the ADDIE model (Analysis - Design - Development - Implementation - Evaluation), combining qualitative and quantitative approaches through interviews and questionnaires to collect data from Bayt An-Najah Foundation, Lanbung. The book was designed in five units, including dialogues, illustrated vocabulary, and exercises. It received an excellent evaluation with a score of 88.6% from content and language experts, and 90% from design experts, with some suggested revisions. The study concluded that the designed conversation book is feasible for use in beginner-level teaching and contributes to enhancing students' abilities to practice conversations naturally and systematically in daily life, significantly improving their oral communication skills.
