Abstract
This study aims to determine the communication strategy of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) Cikembar in realizing sakinah mawaddah warahmah (harmonious, loving, and compassionate) families in Cikembar District, Sukabumi Regency, as well as to identify the communication barriers faced by the KUA in achieving this goal. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method, as it involves direct fieldwork to obtain sources and collect data from research informants. The findings of the study reveal that the communication strategy of KUA Cikembar in realizing sakinah mawaddah warahmah families includes providing counseling to the general public and to prospective brides and grooms in particular. KUA Cikembar conducts direct counseling sessions on marriage for the community and also offers premarital guidance to couples preparing for marriage. The communication barriers encountered by KUA Cikembar are primarily due to the limited knowledge of prospective couples in particular, and the community in general, regarding religion and the fundamental principles of marriage.
