Abstract

Teaching methods are the means or steps followed by teachers to ensure that the learning process is achieved among students in line with the desired goals. In the process of learning Arabic, using a curriculum system to enhance the Arabic language skills of religious institute students is extremely important.  The skill of speaking Arabic is one of the fundamental pillars of mastering the language, especially for students of Quran memorization institutes who need to understand Quranic texts and employ them in effective communicative contexts. In the Al-Fath Institute of Lampung, many Quran memorization students face difficulties in using spoken Arabic, whether in terms of fluency, correct pronunciation, or the ability to express themselves easily. Therefore, the aim of this research is to study the case of the language course offered at the institute in developing the students' speaking skills, and to try to determine the extent of its success in bridging this educational gap. This research relied on the descriptive method to describe and analyze the phenomenon of the language course and its impact on developing the speaking skills of female students at the Al-Fath Institute of Lampung, focusing on collecting and accurately interpreting real-world data. The researcher also used the case study method and the field method, where the phenomenon was studied in its natural setting through: direct observation, structured interviews, practical tests, and documentation.
