Abstract
This study aims to identify verses containing the imperative sentence method (Al-Insya' At-Thalabi) in Surah Ibrahim and to analyze how this method can be utilized in teaching Tadribat Lughawiyyah (linguistic exercises). This research is conducted in light of the importance of the imperative sentence method in understanding the meanings of the Qur’an. This research employed the descriptive-analytical method by tracing the verses in Surah Ibrahim that contain requestive expression methods, collecting, analyzing, classifying them, presenting them in tables, and drawing conclusions to obtain the results. The data collection technique used in this research was library research, in which the researcher reviewed books and previous studies to gather information relevant to the research topic. This research arrived at the following results. First; the requestive sentences found in Surah Ibrahim comprise five types: al-Amr (command), an-Nahyu (prohibition), al- Istifham (interrogation), an-Nida (calling), and at-Tamanni (wishful expressions). There are a total of 40 instances of requestive expressions throughout the Surah, including 19 instances of imperative forms, 3 instances of prohibition, 7 instances of interrogation, 2 instances of wishful expressions, and 9 instances of vocative forms. Each of these expressions may appear either with its original, literal meaning or with a figurative meaning that can be understood from the context of the speech. Second; Its application is carried out through three types of exercises: mechanical drills, meaningful drills, and communicative drills. Mechanical drills include substitution and repetition exercises; meaningful drills involve presenting questions derived from texts and dialogues; and communicative drills are applied by answering questions using the appropriate expressions and forming sentences based on pictures.
