Abstract

The researcher chose this topic because preparatory language students at Ar-Raayah University face difficulties in speaking Arabic fluently, despite their continuous learning. This prompted the study of the impact of language immersion on improving speaking skills. The aim of this research is to describe the method of language immersion at the university and determine its role in enhancing students' ability to speak Arabic confidently and fluently. The research uses a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, with data collected through interviews with students and teachers. The results of the study showed that language immersion at Ar-Raayah University is effective, as students are required to use Arabic in daily and academic situations. Students need about three to four months to adapt to the immersion environment, they become more comfortable and confident in using the language. Language immersion also contributes to enhancing students' self-confidence and reducing the fear of making mistakes. This method also improves their skills in understanding and absorbing complex texts. The conclusion of the study is that language immersion at Ar-Raayah University contributes to improving communication skills and helps students speak confidently. Although it takes time to adapt, this method has a long-term positive impact on the development of Arabic language skills.
