Antithesis In The Holy Qur’an And Its Utilization In Developing Speaking Skills For Non-Native Speakers (A Study On the 28th Parts As A Model)
##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.main##
Abstract
This study aims to examine the rhetorical device of antithesis (ṭibāq) found in the Qur’an, specifically in the 28th Juz', and how it can be utilized to develop speaking skills among non-native Arabic speakers. The researcher employed a descriptive-analytical approach within a qualitative research framework, relying on library-based documentation by reviewing books and reports relevant to the topic. The findings of this study reveal that there are 41 occurrences of ṭibāq in these Juz', with 33 being of the affirmative type (ṭibāq al-ījāb) and 8 of the negative type (ṭibāq al-salb). Among these, 24 involve antithesis between nouns, 16 between verbs, and 1 between a noun and a verb. The use of such antithetical vocabulary in this part of the Qur’an helps non-native learners better understand the Qur’anic text. Furthermore, these ṭibāq words can be effectively used to enhance speaking skills by incorporating them into dialogues, reading texts, exercises, and educational games.
