Abstract
This study aimed to compare the book Silsilat al- ‘Arabiyyah bayna Yadayk li Ghayr an-Nāṭiqīn Bihā with the book Durūs al-Lughah al- ‘Arabiyyah li Ghayr an-Nāṭiqīn Bihā (Part One as a model), in order to identify the differences between the two books in terms of information presentation and illustrative tools. In this study, the researcher employed a descriptive-analytical method to achieve the research objectives. The researcher analyzed data from Silsilat al- ‘Arabiyyah bayna Yadayk and Durūs al-Lughah al- ‘Arabiyyah li Ghayr an-Nāṭiqīn Bihā (Part One as a model), and derived results from that data. The data collection method used in this study was the observation of phenomena in both books. After conducting the research, the study concluded that the main difference between Silsilat al- ‘Arabiyyah bayna Yadayk and Durūs al-Lughah al- ‘Arabiyyah in the method of presenting information is that Silsilat al- ‘Arabiyyah bayna Yadayk uses a thematic approach, while Durūs al-Lughah al- ‘Arabiyyah focuses on grammatical rules. As for the illustrative tools, Silsilat al- ‘Arabiyyah bayna Yadayk surpasses Durūs al-Lughah al- ‘Arabiyyah in terms of both quantity and attractiveness. Therefore, in terms of information presentation, one may choose between the two books based on need or preference, but in terms of illustrative tools, Silsilat al- ‘Arabiyyah bayna Yadayk can be more reliably used for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
