Abstract
Speaking is the ability to articulate sounds or words with specific grammatical rules to express ideas, opinions, desires, or feelings. It is the most important skill in the language as it is used at all times and in all situations. Therefore, speaking is an essential part of learning a foreign language. One way to develop this skill is through additional language activities. An example of this is the additional linguistic activity (Banat al-Dhad), which was implemented by the Arabic Language Department to accustom female students to speaking in Modern Standard Arabic. This study aims to determine its impact on developing speaking skills. The study's methodology is descriptive and analytical, using a quantitative research approach. Data is collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and the library. The data analysis method was using the descriptive analytical statistical method using the Likert scale and simple linear regression with the help of Data Analysis Features Program in Microsoft Excel. The result of this study was that the significance value (F) was 0.0000158, which is less than 0.05, which means rejecting the null hypothesis (H0) and accepting the alternative hypothesis (H1), meaning that there is a relationship between the free variable (X) and the dependent variable (Y). The (Multiple R) value was 0.625, indicating that the effect of this activity was strong. The (R Square) result was 0.391, or 39.1%, indicating that the effect was equal to 39.1 %, and the remaining 60.9% was due to other reasons.
