Abstract
Speaking is one of the most important language skills to develop when learning Arabic. One of the challenges facing female students is the lack of opportunities to practice speaking in classrooms. Therefore, the Diponegoro islamic boarding school in Bali has sought to activate extracurricular language activities. This study aims to investigate the implementation of the vocabulary recitation program at the Diponegoro islamic boarding school in Bali and its impact on developing female students' speaking skills. To achieve these objectives, this study adopts the descriptive quantitative approach. This research falls within the field research category. In this research, the researcher uses some tools to collect data, namely the questionnaire, observation, documentation, and interview methods. Data analysis for this research was done using Microsoft Excel 2013. The research results showed that the vocabulary presentation process involved introducing three new vocabulary words needed in daily speech for a period of 10 to 15 minutes each day before going to school. The study also found that the vocabulary presentation activity had a 34.1% impact on developing the speaking skills of the students at the Diponegoro islamic boarding school in Bali, while the remaining percentage was affected by other factors not mentioned in this research.
