Abstract
Understanding the meanings of Qur'anic vocabulary is considered a fundamental basis for comprehending the general meanings of Qur'anic verses. This understanding facilitates the memorization process for those who memorize the Qur'an. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of understanding Qur'anic vocabulary meanings on the ability to memorize the Qur'an. The researcher chose the descriptive quantitative method to achieve the purpose of this study, by collecting data through a questionnaire distributed to first-semester female students of STIBA Ar Raayah, which are processed using Ms. Excel Data Analysis features. Simple linear regression analysis was used for data analysis. The results of the questionnaire analyzed using a simple linear regression concept showed that the Correlation Coefficient 0.465, which showed a balanced correlation between understanding the meaning of Qur'anic vocabulary and the ability to memorize the Qur'an. Confirming this, the Determination Coefficient 0.20 indicates that understanding the meaning of Qur'anic vocabulary contributes 20% to the ability of students in memorizing the Qur'an. The results of the extraction of the equation regression 8,300,586 which shows that the effect of understanding the meaning of the Qur'an vocabulary on the ability to memorize the Qur'an is positive.
