Abstract
Speaking skill is one of the essential basic language skills that must be mastered by second language learners, as it serves as a primary means of verbal communication. Considering the importance of this skill, the researcher chose it as the focus of this study. This research aims to uncover the problems in teaching Arabic speaking skills to middle school students at Ma'had Al Liwaa Gowa, and to propose solutions to address these issues. The researcher employed a descriptive-analytical approach, using observation, interviews, and document analysis as data collection methods. The study identified several problems, including weak vocabulary comprehension, suboptimal administrative management, insufficient use of extracurricular activities, limited variation in teaching methods, low student motivation, absence of a language environment, and inadequate learning facilities. The proposed solutions include strengthening vocabulary mastery, involving school principals and teachers in training programs, diversifying teaching methods, conducting extracurricular language activities, and creating a supportive language environment.
