The Role of Halaqah Tarbawiyyah in Shaping the Character of Al-Hikmah Jakarta Female Students

Abstract

The researcher chose this title due to the observed moral degradation among Muslims in the era of globalization, as they are the future generation expected to carry on the mission of Islamic da'wah. Therefore, collaboration is needed to create an environment that shares the same vision and mission of da'wah. This study aims to examine the role of halaqah tarbawiyyah in shaping the character of female da’iyyahs at STAI DI Al-Hikmah Jakarta, particularly in instilling Islamic values, da'wah skills, leadership, and faith-based personality traits. The research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. A total of 60 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. The results of the study, based on validity testing using Pearson correlation, reliability testing via Cronbach's alpha (0.8), and relationship testing through simple linear regression analysis, indicate that halaqah tarbawiyyah has a positive though limited role in shaping the da’iyyah’s character. The regression analysis shows a positive correlation (ŷ = 20.5 + 0.10x) with a determination coefficient (r²) = 0.011 or 1.1%. This means that halaqah tarbawiyyah contributes 1.1% to the character formation of da’iyyahs, while the rest is influenced by other factors not addressed in this study.
