Abstract

Enjoining good and forbidding evil is an obligation for every Muslim. Due to its importance, STIBA Ar Raayah includes the subject of Ihtisab to prepare students to practice enjoining good and forbidding evil in society. Therefore, the researcher aims to examine the effect of studying this subject on the implementation of enjoining good and forbidding evil among female students in the Department of Da'wah and Communication. The objective of this study is to identify the content of the Ihtisab course and to determine the extent of its influence on the practice of enjoining good and forbidding evil among the students of the Da'wah and Communication Department at STIBA Ar Raayah. This research uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach, utilizing SPSS 30.0 and the Data Analysis feature in MS Excel. The sample consists of 61 female students. The study resulted in two main findings: First, the Ihtisab subject is taught in the fourth semester of the Da'wah and Communication Department at STIBA Ar Raayah, and the curriculum consists of fifteen lessons. Second, the students' understanding level of the Ihtisab subject was high, and the correlation rate between the Ihtisab course and the practice of enjoining good and forbidding evil reached 41.3%, with a correlation coefficient of 0.643. This indicates a strong and positive relationship between the two variables, meaning that an increased understanding of the Ihtisab subject is associated with an increased application of enjoining good and forbidding evil among the students of the Da'wah and Communication Department at STIBA  Ar-Raayah.
